Just so every one knows everything in my pictures are original nothing is repro. All of my guns are matching and from ww2 the 45 is dated 1942 and the m1 Garand is dated 1944. The 303 British was cut down and I'm in the process of restoring it but I know that it was used by the British 8th army in North Africa.

In pic 70 that is the British mk1 SMLE it is dated 1941 and was used in ww2 with the Brit 8th army desert rats in North Africa it was sporterized and I'm Restoring it to full military

Hey, Mellot I'm really impressed with your collection you have going on there... Especially the USMC Summer, Winter and Dress Uniforms (those things are fading away faster than you can drop a penny)

I'm a collector myself and I couldn't help but notice that (possibly family pick) sea-bag of yours? E. Mellot - 3rd Marine Division - 3rd Shore Party Battalion - Headquarters & Service Company - (wild guess here) Communications Platoon?

Are you into reenacting as well?

Yes I am into reenacting I reenact the 508th PIR 82nd airborne I have repro uniforms but everything in the pics were original even the paratrooper uniforms. and yes my grandfather was in many usmc divisions during ww2 he was in the 3,4 and 5th marine divisions he was a paramarine and worked with the CIA dutch french Turkish British he had TOP SECRET clearance.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello F. Flobbs   Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion. There are a few things you should know before I give you a date for Basic Combat Training (BCT). Firstly, you are restricted to the weapon class of Rifleman for the duration of your time as a Recruit. Secondly, any questions you have about our unit, alternate times for your BCT, or just rules in general, you should contact your drill instructors GySgt. R. Fielding, 1stSgt. J. Candy, CWO. A. Pitteway, and 2ndLt. R.
