Annoying little issue i have with my headset

So i have steelseries headset and it my 2nd pair. I had to throw out my 1st pair due to the wire curling in on it self and it pretty much fucked up the mic up. So my 2nd pair is starting to do the same and I was wondering if you guys have any tips eg to stop it doing it?
