Free Spray making software

I want to try and learn how to make sprays but I don't have enough money for photoshop, Does anyone know of any good FREE software that will get the job done??

GIMP - hands down.

I would say it's about 95% of what Photoshop is and is completely free.

Some things about GIMP I actually prefer over photoshop - but it takes some time to get used to some of the differences.

↑↑↑↑ What he said! Gimp is brilliant. I have heard of people using photobucket its self as a photo editing software but I have no idea if its any good and I guarantee its not as good as gimp or photoshop. I know most people dont approve but there is always the option of torrenting photoshop too.

I forgot about GIMP, I tried it before but found it complicated, I will give it a go again though because I really want to make sprays!

Where do I find the 1st MRB Insignia and how do i turn it into a vtf. file??

VTF plug in

TO PROPERLY SAVE A .VTF SPRAY. USE THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS WHEN PROMPTED ON SAVE:

1. Format DXT5,

2. Mipmap Filter: Point

3. Sharpen Filter: Unsharpen Mask

4. Mipmaps check box unchecked, as well as Thumbnail, and only the Eight Bit Alpha option checked on the bottom.

I have opened the insignia onto my original image and when I move it over it, it goes behind the image, do you know how I can make it so the insignia is shown over the image.

In the lower right you'll notice your 'layers', move the layer with the emblem on top of the layer with your regular image.

You're into the 'basics' of gimp at this point, I recommend googling some tutorials! Tons out there! They're really helpful.
