I have access to the beta. It's pretty glorious. Worth $15? Heck yes. Worth 13.49 in the current sale? Hell yes. I was big into CS:S, and I like this a lot. It's really similar in a lot of ways to Source, but improved graphics, more streamlined maps, and better physics. They kept a lot of what they were good at, and didn't bend knee to the new version of shooters. The so-called "CoD Syndrome" where a game studio adopts ironsights and "breathing scopes" and all of that nonsense. Valve knows what people like, what made the original CS games so popular and that's what they've looked to improve. I'm sure the beta version I have is different from the full release, and I'm excited to see that.

CSS is always a good buy. I tried playing it a few days ago and fuck did I ever suck at it haha. Can you buy the Beta right now Kirk, or is it just lucky that you got your hands on it? =P Also is there a release date made yet, because I hope to fuck they realease the new Half Life. I'd like to play it before the end of 2012 ;D

From what I heard by doing a review for a college project, CS: GO is going to revamp all the shit that was wrong with CS:S. Improvements to make hacking extremely hard to do. Much much more competitive atmosphere and new types of games. I'm defiantly going to get it even though I dont play CS:S but because counter strike was the first computer game I decided to really play that and roller coaster tycoon... I would suggest this game if you liked CS:S. Also the new multi-player feature allows you to create a dedicated server much like halo which could cause some problems for people.

You can't buy into the beta to my knowledge. I've had it for a little while. GO is in the Steam Shop, it'll be released on the 21st of this month.

If there is any cross platform support (which I doubt) I'll be able to play with you. Pre-ordered today on my ps3. Couldn't pass this up for 10 bucks.

Otherwise, if anyone else plans on playing on their playstation, my sn is Vertices01.

No, in all honesty, my fiance says I spent to much time on my pc, so it got banished to the closet lol. It is in need of an upgrade, but I don't see her going along with that.

I did pull it out a few months back and did some more work on the BCT map, but I still didn't finish it. Maybe one day...

I've been playing the beta for a while now and I love it! Still feels and plays like CSS but with different textures.

The only problem I have with it is gun game instarespawn - shit gets outta hand haha That and the fact that my computer sucks so much doo doo that even with the lowest resolution and everything either turned off or to low it gets really choppy haha

But for $13 it's worth buying, you'll have a great time!! :D
