Make sure you have downloaded and installed the correct version of Ventrilo. Completely uninstall your current version of Ventrilo, download and install the version found here.

Make sure Ventrilo has administrative privileged to run (right click the icon, click properties, then compatibility. Check the box at the bottom that has "run with administrative privileges").
