Resolved - Shogun Total War 2 Screen Resolution issue

Brief Description of Issue:

hey guys, i'm not sure if yall will be able to help me with this but i really dont know what to do to fix this problem

When i open up Shogun Total War 2, the screen resolution setting on the game does not match the screen resolution for my computer, leading to about half of the total war opening menu not being shown.

Whats worse is theres no way i can adjust the screen resolution via the in game options because the resolution mis match causes the mouse to not be calibrated correctly, so i can't click on the options panel to try and adjust it. If i move the mouse to the very bottom of the screen the game thinks the mouse is halfway up on the screen. Very frustrating.

If i dont fix this, i dont see any way ill be able to play the game.

Does anybody know any tricks i can use to change the in game screen resolution without being in game? Or, should i try to change the resolution on my computer and try to go in game and fix it?
