How true is this? (re: NFL)

Basically says there is about 11 minutes of time with the ball in play during an NFL game. I never watch it, but I'm curious as to how accurate this article is and what everyone's thoughts on it is. I assume that the whole concept of watching it is more about the game than the action itself, but what do I know? Nothing. So please enlighten me! Why do you guys/girls/amoebas like to watch this sport?

Pretty much my opinion. I've tried watching the BIG games, like on Thanksgiving and Rose Bowl and whatnot, and those are fairly exciting since I'm usually with the whole family (my family loves those games) and we get trashed and the excitement is contagious, but I was curious how just casual game-watchers felt. Thanks for the response guys : )

I just manage to survive by switching channels during commercials or watch the game while using my pc like a true fat ass.
