Using the "Disconnect" button on the private disconnects you momentarily and then reconnects you.

I have also tried using the cancel connect option on the loading screen and that is broken as well.

I believe that it is not a problem with the server but with the latest update. I ended up having to use Ctrl + Alt + Del to exit the game. This happened to a handful of us during a realism tonight.
