It's a British show about some teens or young adults that are stuck doing community work for probation when a weird storm appears and gives them all super powers. Then they have to deal with the crazy crap that happens around them. They don't solve crimes so much as just deal with life problems, most of which they seem to create for themselves. It's pretty good...

Hmm. Horror.... Might want to try the movie The Strangers. For a modern horror movie it is ok. It is not particularly gorry but the suspense will kill you sometimes. When I saw it in theaters I remmber some total gheto woman was shouting "Look behind you Bitch, there he is!" Or some crap like that. It is no masterpeice like The Shining but certaintly not a peiece of feces like Parahana 3D. (After seeing that movie I think a few brain cells in my head died).
