Resolved - DoD:S freezes at "Sending Client Info"

Type of issue: DoD:S (must be software?)

Brief Description of Issue: Whenever I try to join a DoD:S server, my game connects but when to the "Sending Client info" step, nothing happens, it freezes and the only way i have to shut the game off is by ctrl+alt+del. It has done that before but only once in a while but now it is every time I try to join a server.

Just tried it again and I succesfully joined the pub. Let's keep this on stand-by.

I used to have this issue a lot. no idea what was wrong it wasn't anywhere. After a good long while it resolved itself

This is very common with the source engine. Most commonly, it is related to your router either crashing, or preventing the required information from being sent.

Switch off your router for a few minutes before restarting it. If the problem persists, you may need to change some of your router settings or network settings, specifically, DMZ (sub-network) related.
