The funniest part about this whole thing is that in Israel they want the Flu renamed because pigs are considered dirty and unholy, so instead they are going to refer to it as the "Mexican Flu". This succesfully makes the Israeli's look like racists and simultaneously calls all Mexicans dirty and pig like.

I don't really give a shit about this flu, diarrhea and cramps with dehydration is really nothing much compared to bigger badder viruses, I just want someone in my school to come down with it so I can have a nice vacation in my little bunker of a room. And the only real reason that it's killed in Mexico (or so I've heard) is because most of the people who died from it where ether infants or in rural areas with little to no medical support. So if your a infant/child or live in a place with no modern medicine it was nice knowing you.

The issue is, if they release the anti-virus too early the flu will simply mutate and render the treatment useless. So yes, they have a treatment, but they can't release it until it REALLY becomes a problem.

I heard they had to ship the drug to a stockpiling location and were under police protection the entire way. I was laughing today bcause I saw a guy buying surgical masks and there has not been a single case in the Vancouver area. This is simply a case of the media blowing things out of proportion.

Exact thing with happened with the Avian Flu, "IT CAN KILL YOU!" gets thrown up on news stations and people blow their tops and start stockpiling for Armageddon.
