Disney closes Lucasarts

I am optimistic, I like what J.J. Abrams has done for Star Trek, hopefully he can remain true to the old movies and not have another Jar Jar Binks debocle.

The problem is that every member of the cast are all easily bought. Harrison Ford has consistently said that he would do anything if you paid him enough. Carrie Fischer is a recovering crackhead who I'm sure would love to use a big pay day to kick off a bender. And Mark Hammil is basically out of work since he isn't voicing the Joker anymore. The only one that may save this latest installment of how to milk a franchise is JJ Abrams, and forgive me if that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

JJ Abrams is a sci fi god...Remember Lost and Fringe, 2 great shows...Disney is a money hungry rotten to the core corporation. What else could we expect from them? I took my daughter to Disney land and had a terrible time. It was hell on earth. She had the time of her life. What can we do? Nothing. They are running a business, and a very sophisticated and lucrative one at that. $9 disney beer should be expected right? LOL I dont believe that crap. They have gotten so greedy and rotten i say fuck them! Yet I still love Alladin, and I like their fucking beer. I guess its a conundrum ....

See consider me optimistic about it. Look they have done pretty well with the Marvel movies and I like what Abrams does. I think he gets it and it honestly cannot get any worse then what Lucas has done to it.

I think it will be good. Episode 1 and 2 blew. Episode 3 was good. Like borscht said, how worst could it get.

Sad to see LucasArts go, even though I was never a diehard fan of the Star Wars movies, I always love them for the universe they created. KOTOR, The Sith Lords, and both the Battlefronts were my favourite games of the Franchise though. Hopefully Disney does the franchise justice, they've certainly made a lot of big purchases in the past few months besides LucasArts, so they'll have some big shoes to fill.

LucasArts churned out a ton of good games in the 90's...Outlaws is still a favorite of mine.
