Type of issue: (Software, Hardware, Steam, Not sure)Phone? I don't know.
Brief Description of Issue: A good friend wrote to me this morning about an issue with her Android ZTE. It stopped working (spontaneously; she said she didn't get it wet, hadn't downloaded anything in a long time. "It literally just started shutting off and on, and just does that non stop if i turn it on now; it keeps doing the sound it makes when it turns on but never turns on; like, repeatedly; it's like on a weird loop
nothing warranted it".)
She's trying to get the data off of it. She got Stellar Phoenix, and she says "I was told to download this program called "Stellar Phoenix" which I did~ but it looks like it only retrieves data from the computer Hard Drive, and doesn't give me an option to retrieve from the USB when I try to plug the cell in". Now, I know nothing about Androids, so I told her I'd see if anyone I know knows anything. She's a touring musician and I guess this phone had a lot of important data that she desperately needs.
She never backed up the data (said she was waiting for a compatible program with her Mac that never came) and was told by the phone store that a) the store itself can't help, and she can send it back to Sprint and get it fixed, but all data would likely be wiped.
Anyone know anything about Androids? Or data recovery of them? Or a program that will recognize the phone when plugged in as opposed to just a backup? I'm researching it a bit myself, but figured I'd post here in case someone knew something : ) Any possible info you have will help! Thanks!
