It partly fixed the problem. It lasts the duration of a map (until my game crashes on map change) and when I reopen my game its still my old spray set. I encounter the same issue for anything I bind or unbind too. That's since the good 'ole Steampipe update.

Negative, its your config file being set to read-only. If you want your settings and spray to stick, decide on what you want your settings to be in one sitting. Uncheck read only in the config file, then launch the game. Set the settings you want. Exit game. Then open up your config file and re-add "exec autoexec.cfg" to the end. Save, check read-only again. If you set it to not read only, it allows the config file to be overwritten and that overrides the autoexec.

I went over this with you in Steam, just posting here for ref.

Ah, uncheck the whole config folder as read only and check it so that only the config file itself is read only. It should work then, that is , after you have your spray and setting set up the way you want.

NEVER set your config to read only. There is no use in that. ALL custom config should be run from autoexec.cfg. You do NOT require an "exec autoexec" line, the autoexec.cfg file is automatically executed, as the name suggests.

A first step with configuration issues is to check your custom folder for rogue configuration files.

Happy to hear the problem has been resolved.

In the future when setting up a new spray, remember that it is not a requirement to place the spray anywhere other than where you will know to look. No need to worry about putting it in the custom folder, or in the materials folder. The spray can be put on your desktop if you like. Once the spray is selected from the in-game option, it is automatically placed in the appropriate location.
