Resolved - Dod:S issues

Brief Description of Issue: I adjust the video setting to the highest and even time i start dods i can hear but it is all black. i redownload twice to try to hopeful get default setting it didn't work. please help.

There are many variables we need to know in order to diagnose this problem, as there are many different possible reasons for this.

Could you provide us some of the specs for your computer, especially what graphic card you're using?

Also, if you change the settings back to default (or whatever you were using before), does the game work fine?

Finally, which settings did you change exactly? Did you turn on anti-aliasing? Also, when you open options, go to Video, select advanced, at the bottom it will tell you which Software Directx level and which Hardware Directx level you are using. Tell us those.

And to just get this out of the way as this could be the easiest fix, make sure your graphic card drivers are completely updated.

go into steam , find day of defeat in the list , right click and select properties , then click the tab saying general and select launch options then in the box type this.

-autoconfig exactly like that.

This will make dod launch as vanilla , let me know if this works

try browns first though

Thank you Small it worked like a charm! Sorry about the response time. Just finished one school and started a new school on the same day. super busy
