i think we all know the answer to that mitchell... ive shot with it and my shoulder hurted for days :P in norway you need train your shoulder to fire snipers.. and medical people will examine your shoulder from time to time. the army wont risk having snipers injured.. not becaus they cant go into combat but becaus they get hell of a lot money if they are hurted in the army.. its a weird system

Have you ever fired an M82A1 Barret .50 Caliber rifle from the hip? If so, how bad was the recoil/kickback??

I have. It wasn't that bad actually. If I had to relate it to anything I would say a 30-30.

did anyone fuck up the grenade throwing part of training?

Not in my company, but it has happened.

No, so I don't have any idea.

Sounds like your Signals? Right?

Yep.

I'm from the Cranberry Twp. area in a small town called Callery. What's your MOS. I was a 13B Cannon Crewmember..... basically the guy who shoots Artillery.

We lived like next to each other, I was in Monroeville. Small world. I mentioned my MOS, I'm a 25F, which is the guy who keeps the comms up and running.

Ever think of moving to a combat position?

I have, but the concept of getting shot at a lot doesn't appeal to me, plus I'm more of a tech guy.

Getting shot at isn't so bad. You get used to it. It's getting blown up by something you don't see or hear is the hard part. Good ol' Monroeville. Clark in the unit is from Beaver County too. Fancy that huh?

Hey, I'm a Data Systems Tech. with the USMC, in Camp Pendleton, CA. You ever do any cross training with some of Uncle Sams Misguided Children?

I fought with some of the USMC from the 2nd Marines in Iraq. They were dumb as hell, but they were good at what they did. Their uniforms are better than the Army's too.
