Just to add to this; I had him download the one that came with the mappack provided via 1stMRB. I used the same one and it seems to work on mine, although I haven't tested it in a while.

First off though; make sure it is unzipped (if you are not familiar with unzipping files, let us know!) in the right section. Mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Day of Defeat Source\dod\download\maps; make sure yours is as well, if need be by coping it from wherever it is and pasting it there. Having it in two spots won't cause too much of a difference in loading time.

Open DOD again, and try to create a server running the wismar_realism map.

Report back the absolute success bound to occur!

If no success, try re-downloading the map pack and/or unzipping it all over again. It could have been corrupted during that process, and doing it over again may fix it.

You may ALSO try downloading it from an external site (here) and doing the same thing; unzipping (if needed) into appropriate file.

To add to this delete the file manually from your maps then run a full steam file verification on the dod:s then add the map back in.
