Well I took a mini vacation this past weekend (Thursday evening till late last night), first true break from work and such since this time last year.

For those who do know me, one of my hobbies is I play Airsoft. This past weekend is the largest game hosted yearly in Saskatchewan Canada, and from what I have seen one of the most Pyro involved games out there.

Had a great time Camping, visiting with old and new friends that travelled in for it (1 guy drove 22 hours to get to the game).

Some photos from the event:

And my "war" wound from the Night game portion when I found one of the trenches that we forgot was dug in the middle of the field while driving a quad.

Aye it was!

Thursday arrived at camp spot around 7pm, set up about 60% of the campsite, then hit the rye and coke, drunk by 9pm, drunk again by 11pm, 1am more people arrived. Drunk again by 2am and 4am when I finally said I'm going to sleep.

Friday woke up around 9am, started the long task of rehydrating, more people started showing up around 11am and by 5pm we had 50 at our camp location. Drinking started again at 7:30pm, had an amazing feast of Steak, King Snow Crab Legs and sautéed mushrooms and onions cooked on my BBQ by a top chef from The Keg who came out for the game.

Saturday woke up around 8am, started final game preparations, game started at 5pm, first explosions went off at 5:01 and continued will around 11pm that night, then drinking started at about 11:30pm lol.

sunday woke up around 8:30am, game continued at 10am and went till 7pm, then drinking started at 7:30pm again.

Monday woke up around 10am and started packing up campsite and drove home lol

Twas a great time. Still have a fair sized red welt on my leg, but its starting to heal lol.

Plan ahead for next year part 5 will be going on during the Sept. Long weekend (Labour Day) again. I'll post the website next spring once its up and running. There was over $5000 in sponsor prizes this year given away by 3 different retailers for Airsoft. One gun alone was worth $1200.

There was around $8000 retail value of explosives and pyro set off during the event as well. Explosive Pyro shells (like those used in firework shows) up to 6" were set off (considering most firework shows stop at 3" shells for those loud bangs you hear you can imagine the loudness and shockwaves).
