In game I can't turn down my transmit volume or turn off my mic boost gain. I change it and then apply it but after I press ok it will reset.

if your microphone has drivers to it those settings could be activated through that. Or they could be set like that through windows sound settings and you should do a little snooping through there.

If it doesn't want to co-operate in game, change it in your control panel settings.
