Resolved - Headset Sound

Question

Posted (edited)

Name: Kaelee Mullaney

Rank: Private

Type of issue: Hardware/Software

Brief Description of Issue:

I have a Razer Carcharias headset and I am having a problem with my sound feedback.

When I am in vent or in-game, any sounds happening on my computer are heard when I use the mic (like other people talking, music etc.) and I dont know how to stop it!

I turned off mic boost but then I was not loud enough. I have the volume at a normal (maybe a little on the loud side) volume but when I take my headset off and place my hand gently over the ear piece I can barely hear it so I dont think it is the mic picking up the sounds but I could be wrong.

Help!

if you have windows 7 please navigate to here.

Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Recording>Double Click on the active microphone>Listen> and then make sure the listen to this device is unchecked

With windows xp

Select your mixer in your bottom right (the speaker) select advanced in there should be 2 options for the mic or multiple Mute the ones until you are able to talk with out feedback.
