My Ipod touch can get on my wireless but my two laptops can't. They detect and receive the signal just with limited connectivity any ideas on how to fix this.

Have you powered down your router lately? Sometimes your router just needs a good ol' fashioned restart and it works. Unplug your router and wireless adapter from the power for about 2 minutes, plug in the router wait until it says online, then plug in your wireless. Usually helps with any connectivity issues for me.

It's not the type since they have been connected before. I restarted the router for the first time in like 6 months that worked.

Yeah, it really help to restart every once in a while, say you're having issues connecting or even just slow connectivity. It's the simplest thing.
