Need some advices

Okay so i decided to build a PC case out of wood. Dont try to talk me out of it its decided

This is my current PC case with all components inside. As you can see , installing my new CPU cooler( Noctua NH-D14) made it a bit crowded inside, with no airflow in the case becouse of my HDD and such. Under it its to much empty wasted space. Also the case it self is very big and also has no cable management so every time i open up my pc case i see bunch of cables from my PSU. I got space for 4 optical drives ,which is also wasted space since i have only dvd rom inside it (barely use it).

I saw this

on youtube and it kinda gave me inspiration and some good ideas.

I decided to build something like this .

While the components would be in this position . Its really a raw sketch. Im not Picasso

As you can see by my sketch its is pretty simular as from the above persons video. so all cables except from PSU would be coming from top. I do plan to cover it with a wooden plate but it will have space between the plate and those cables. Any advices comments about my "Project" i would really appreciate it.

What ever u do make sure its vented well and provide extra space between the mobo and the wood
