This was the view from the back when we arrived- notice the 30ft flame wall on the #2 or right side of the image

BchoL89CcAApIhr.jpg

I had to run 3 lengths of 5" 300ft of hose to a hydrant, then run a bunch of hand-lines to the fire itself.

Fire was fought initially by 5 firefighters we were then joined by 3 other companies 15 mins later.

This house if carefully looked at had fire Shooting out all the windows and doors on arrival-

I was first DUE- had to pull all the hose under the flames to the back of the house so we could attack it cleanly, My friends it was HOT.

No Injuries or Loss of Life,

Success.

Your rules must be quite different then ours up here in Canada.... I see so much bare skin on the hose line approaching the fire......

Sweet pictures, was any of the structure salvageable?

4 companies, how big was this house????

That was at the end, and those guys are the guys we call the Leather Lungs-- The house was small, but the fire was out of control, and was setting the houses on either side up, so more companies were brought in to make sure we did not get pinned.

No you are right that is a lot of skin showing, not sure what that's all about.

Single Ranch Style house-- The House seems to be in repair, they did not tear it down yet, but my guess they will it was all chard when we left......

I know I can see ears and chins/cheeks around the masks, while still pouring water onto obvious flames lol.

My old chief would have kicked some serious ass at that scene lol. That was if our training officer left anything for him to kick.

If I looked like that Wells, if only sorry If i killed the Mysticism of it all--- I am more rough around the edges and not as chiseled.

However My Instructor is Mr. February in the FDNY Calendar.

It was pretty damn hot, My SCBA air cannister was starting the crackle and melt, and houses 30 ft from the fire were catching up from the radiant heat.
