Brief Description of Issue:

Everytime i try to play Compnay of Heroes 2, steam finishes the installation of it. Ive tried to find some answers via steam but so far no luck. Can anyone offer assistance?

That error is for when an installation is incomplete, which can be caused by any number of things...but most common (especially if it happens near the end of it) is a firewall (either in PC or router) and/or anti-virus software. Try turning all those things off and re-installing!

I had McAfee but it has since expired and im quite sure im not running any such software now. i went to my control panel to turn off the windows firewall and i can do anything because McAfee's firewall (which appears to be off) overrides it.

We're not exactly sure WHAT ended up fixing it, but Win Defender forced itself to update, and Mcafee wouldn't shut down all the way...then the installing went through.

So I'm totally taking credit : P

Sounds like a problem with Mcafee. Well done Brown.
