Resolved - Ping/lag and downloads

Brief Description of Issue:

I did the exec config thing and downloaded the correct file to the correct folder. The game looked amazing compared to how I had it and than it just totally shit bricks everywhere. Including massive lag rejoining the server or chat functions.

So I did this hoping it would help these weird ping jumps I have been having and it actually made the game worse. If I can't find a solid fix I might just uninstall and reinstall again... and I'm really not in the mood to do that. I could deal with the random lag thing before albeit it was really annoying but this is ridiculous.

Please help.

Just for future reference please use the MSO Helpdesk Form. I went ahead and formatted it here for you

I assume that this is an autoexec.cfg file that you downloaded. If you remove or place that file in another folder this may correct the issue. Otherwise you may have to check your config.cfg file and remove entries that were created in that.

If you are unsure of what to do please post your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg so we may review. The files should be found under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Day of Defeat Source\dod\cfg".

Gearheart and I have been working on it. So far no issues what so ever. Now just a cleanup run. Hopefully I haven't shot myself in the foot and it continues to run smoothly later on with a full server.
