Type of issue: Steam (Software, Hardware, Steam, Not sure)

Brief Description of Issue: So i just got dayz and I am trying to install it and I get about 3.9gb into the install and it says an error occured while updating dayz. I have tried closing steam and restarting it, I have tried running steam as an admin, i have deleted the game and tried reinstalling it. I tried deleting the appcache folder and i even deleted the download folder, I have also tried veryfying the game cache and nothing has worked I even disabled my firewall! And yes i have enough hard drive space. If anyone could help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated!

Let me just clarify for myself, is your problem that Steam will just not run DayZ? Or will it currently just not run any game and crash.

I had a similar problem running DoD:S earlier this year and got a similar error but I fixed it with redownloading steam, and updating everything that I needed to.

It fixed on its own i guess idk what happened but you can move this topic or close it
