Brief Description of Issue: I've recently decided to learn how to make maps. I've only fiddled with the program now for about 4 days but I can already see some technical issues to resolved. I have been watching the Hammer Editor V2 Series tutorial on youtube, however the instructor is using portal 2 for his tuts. So some of his instructions get errors in the DOD/HL2 engine (e.g: textured props). Anyway to my point, for now I've already noticed after rendering my project and loading into DoD as a private server; my start point player (allie/axis) does not have the use of all the weapons that come with that class. For instance: rifleman & assault, do not have use of the pistol for secondary weapon.

In the console I see these errors:

Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_ifm_steadycam

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "blood_impact_red_01"!

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "blood_impact_green_01"!

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "blood_impact_yellow_01"!

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "slime_splash_01"!

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "slime_splash_02"!

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "slime_splash_03"!

No dod_control_point_master found in level - control points will not work as expected

At the moment I am just working on a very basic room for an orange map. Four walls, floor, and skybox.

Hi Stephenson!

From what I've understood, the reason all classes don't have the pistol is because the 1st MRB have that mod installed on their server and you don't.

And from the little I've read about the console dump, they are all related to the first line "Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_ifm_steadycam"

Some people say this is nothing to worry about and that its just something left behind from the beta testing of DoDS.

Others say it came with a bad update and it seems to be causing the game to freeze and eventually disconnect from the server.

But if you don't get any major technical issues from this I suggest you just ignore it, someone said that this is something we all get.

Lennings is pretty much on point. I have never had technical issues caused by the steadycam error myself, and I see it all the time. As for the pistol issue, i believe assault, sniper and mg have a pistol without the medic mod on, but the rfileman and support would not. If you ever need help with mapping, or anyone else who reads this, feel free to message me on steam, I fool around in the hammer editor almost daily.

need some assistance making a control point. I can't seem to find a tutorial. The Control point I'd like help with is, one where it requires two teammates to turn a flag and a simple one person flag cap.

Found a tutorial finally, however my version of Hammer does not have the sound files for Axis and Allied (so i can have the capture point play a sound)
