We're buying my cousin a shotgun as a gift for his bachelor party, it will be used for trap shooting. We looked at over/under's, but they're a little too expensive for a nice one, so we've decided to go with a pump. These are the 3 we're discussing.

Which one do you think is the superior firearm?

Mossberg 500

Also, do you think 12 gauge is worth the extra recoil?

I know my shoulder gets more beat up after an afternoon firing 12 than 20, and I'm not sure that I see any benefit in trap shooting with a 12 gauge.

If he decided to go hunting do you think the 12 gauge is significantly more useful?
