Questions on Macros

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with making a macro for my *Salute*. I have a G15 keyboard, which should make it stupid easy to make a macro, hah, but I seem to have not gotten that memo. I have some funky shit going on with the "G" keys when I "create" a macro within the Key Profiler. I assign the "G" key desired then type "say_team *Salute*" to create the macro. When used it opens up the say team chat, then if I press it again it puts out "say_team *Salute*".

I figure something has to be done in the council which I didn't do for lack of knowledge, but, the main thing I'm trying to figure out is why the "G" key isn't executing a macro regardless of what it says. For instance, I tried "*Salute*", "y *Salute*", etc. and each time the "G" key opens the team chat and I have to repress the button to put out whatever I wanted to say.

Any help or suggestions?

You put that in console.

Tried it, still opens up team chat and then have to repress and that exact phrase comes out. Weird I know.

Vogt he is trying to setup his macro keys on his g15, not trying to bind the keys.

I own the G15 but I don't use macros in DoD:S.

What Vogt is trying to say is open your console by pressing the ~ key, and once in console type the following: bind key "say *Salute*"

Just replace key with the key of your choice, I use p if that makes any difference.

If you haven't enabled the console, press escape, go to options, keyboard advanced options, and tick the "Enable Developer Console" box.
