You can start by ruling out everything in your config. Move your config.cfg and autoexec.cfg to another folder, possibly the desktop. Then in your DoD:S launch options put

-autoconfig

including the dash.

That will set all your settings to default. It will also create a new config.cfg.

After doing this make sure to remove -autoconfig from your launch options, or else your settings will reset every time you run the game.

If that solves your issue, then you can make a new blank autoexec.cfg and start putting commands back into it, ideally only those that you need. If you find that binds or key settings are missing you can copy and paste them out of your backed up config.cfg into your new autoexec.cfg or into your new config.cfg, it doesn't matter which.

If defaulting your settings does not correct the issue, then you can just close the game, and put your config.cfg and autoexec.cfg back where you found them, and let us know and I or someone else will try to come up with another debugging step.
