a hot dog is debatable.. but how is a hamburger not a sandwich? 2 pieces of bread and meat in the middle... sandwich ! lol

a sandwich has cold meat in thew middle, not hot. hamburger is a meal with the fries and addons. A sandwich is NOT a meal unless it comes with hot soup. IMO anyways. I have a sandwich for a snack to tide me over til the meal.

A sandwich invented by the Earl of Sandwich used two slices of bread so his fingers wouldnt get messy while playing cards. Now if we take that as the original of invention then a sandwich would be anything inside bread so your fingers dont get messy.
