Brief Description of Issue:I can hear in my headset but the mic isn't registering at all. tried everything i know hopefully you guys have an idea, thanks

If you've multiple microphone you might want to make sure that it is the good one that is activated

Have you tried just going in your sound menu and press the microphone between your finger if that doesn't appear to make a sound, uninstall the driver of your headset and reinstall it , be sure to restart your computer. I hope it helps you a little

Are you using a Headset with a mic, or a separate Mic? Check Vent setup to insure it has the correct Mic selected. If its a headset w/mic, make sure the correct model of the headset is chosen. if it has a separate plug for sound and mic, make sure mic is plugged in completely. Sometimes when moving a computer they come a little lose and don't make a good connection. If all else fails, unplug the headset, uninstall the drivers, then restart computer, plug it in after it boots. It will reinstall drivers automatically. Check vent setup and try it then.
