Resolved - New headset problem

Brief Description of Issue: I just bought a <<SADES A6 7.1 Surround Stereo PC Gaming Headset Headband Headphone>> and have been struggling with my microphone. It worked at first, but an hour lattle the mic had heavy interference and I couldn't hear my voice anymore. I tried reinstalling the drivers and the same thing happened: could here me at first but an hour later it was all screwed up. I tried switching USB port, tried to see if restarting my computer could work; nothing can do. I think it's a software problem since when I instal them at first the mic works fine. Thanks for your time :)!

Are you installing a CD that came with headset or using the web? If it's a CD install the drivers then use a software tool like drivermax to to see if there is a recent update. Also if this doesn't work I had issues with the realtek audio drivers windows automatically installs with windows update and had to manually remove the realtek drivers for mine to work properly. I will do more research in AM at work and post anything I may find. Let me know either way good or bad.

 

*Addition - So far I read a lot about compatibility issues with windows 10. I'm not sure if you are running ten or not. But others state that the drivers are not compatible*

The drivers came with a CD so ill try your advices tonight; also I run Windows 7 so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

Drivermax showed it up to date; went on and uninstalled my realtek driver and so far it seems to have done it! Ill be playing tonight so if it turns bad again ill know. Thanks a lot Shank

Like you saw my mic fucked up after 20 min; but the weird thing is that by closing the game, my mic is fine now. The game must be interfering somehow O.o

CWO Marsden might be better at this since he has much practice. But I will research mic issues in Dods and see what I turn up.

Fixed it yesterday actually; what did it was that I enabled ''Stereo Mix'' in the Recording tab of Sound. For some reason I had to do it in order to run Star Wars Battlefront, and I found out after that that my mic wouldn't brake anymore. Man sometimes I just don't get computers lol; thanks a lot for the help Shank!
