Hey guys long time no see :). Sorry I havent been around as alot of you older guys know I retired last year to go back to college  (which is almost 2 hours from my house and drive it daily) and havent been around much. I have been having alot of PC issues since March and mainly just play ps4 or HOTS on pc if possible because alot of my steam games are crashing.  After this semester is over I only have 2 semesters and 8 classes left, I am slated to graduate December of 2019. So my time has mainly been taken doing school work, BAJA buggy team,  research projects, coaching, teaching engineering students how to weld and tutoring in the Marine recruiters office on the weekends. I am the engineering lab assistant for the school and tutor in math and somehow have maintained an overall 3.5 GPA even though ive taken most of my classes without the prerequisite courses because im a boss like that lol My team made it to the championship in football this year but we lost 14 to 6 :( but it was one of the best football games I have ever watched. I had a kid this year that was 14 years old 230 pounds and 6 foot 3 lol my line averaged over 203 pounds and 6 feet tall at 14 years old lol. I have taken up blacksmithing since I started school and use the school facilities for it and im starting to get pretty darn good at it. Im currently in the process of dropping weight to possibly re-enlist in the military, I need to lose about 30 more pounds and more convincing to jenny is needed lol. I am gonna hop branches if I do to the Army because well they are the only ones who will take me with my injuries and I already did the hard shit lol. Enclosed is a picture of me and jenny from when we went to Ocracoke NC between my spring and summer semesters and a picture of me and my nephew who started coaching with me this year after our championship game last week. Semper Fi boys and ill try to hop into the server for a realism sometime once the fall semester is over.

Great News man. Good to hear from you after all this time. Glad you are having a great time as a teacher and coach, there is nothing more fulfilling. Maybe we will see you on Forged in Fire if you get better at the blacksmithing, heh.  Stay safe in all your endeavors and remember you still have friends in this community. Take Care!

Im making knives next and possibly bigger items. Trying to convince jenny I need a home forge lol I would love to be on forged in fire maybe an amateur episode though lol I should be finishing my current project in a week or 2 depending on how much forge time I can get with finals being in the next few weeks. I can tell you this my forearms are getting the way they were when I worked at osmose utilities as a foreman and I got old man strength in my hands now lol swinging that 20 pound hammer 2 hours a day is a workout, couldnt imagine doing it all day like professional smiths do.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello Paul Smith, Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion.   During your trial period the following will occur: Once accepted as a Recruit, you will remain as a Recruit for 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance until the next BCT Class is offered. During your time as a recruit, it is highly encouraged to play within the Public Server and join Discord with our other members. Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by one of our DIs when the next available BCT is scheduled via the appropriate Discord channel.   We have a BCT class every two weeks.
