Steam Update!?

So. Steam had an update. and for once it did something. Now im not so sure i like it because its asking me to update my files into steam cloud. when ever i click the option nothing happens, how do i get it to work? Also what the hell is steam cloud?!

Hey man, make sure you definately sync your files with the steam cloud! The steam cloud is what enables you to shift+tab and bring up friends, community, etc...

If you've ever wondered why steam friends is down or something, it's because an update is being done for the cloud, or your files aren't synced. You don't need to sync if you don't want to, but it's just so much more convenient to have all of this stuff ready at your fingertips.

Also, about your question on why it isn't working, I really can't help you there. My files synced perfectly. All I can say is try again tomorrow, and if I find out what the problem is, I'll be sure to let you know!

**Edit.. I just found out that the steam community servers were, and possibly are still down. I'm not on right now so I couldn't tell you, but this is probably why you can't sync, because of maintenance.
