That is the Iowa-class battleship USS New Jersey, hull number BB-62.

It is the second of four total Iowa-class battleships built, launched on 7 December, 1942 and firstly commissioned on 23 May, 1943. 

That photo was taken during the Vietnam War from the Gulf of Tonkin in 1968.

It now rests as a museum ship in Camden, New Jersey.
