Hmm. When you go to install windows do you get the wizard at all? Just double checking your HDD is connected and has a place to install? Once you finish the Wizard you will need to go back into the bios settings and tell it to boot from the HDD you installed on

When i in bio it sees both hard drives butt it will load it in. When i select the thumb drive it restarts like it goin to do it but goes right to bios. Even tho it says start from thumb drive. It the odd thing. It says 512 gig free on my windows drives planty of room.

Also make sure that you don't have any jumpers crossed on the board and attempt using the boards USB ports directly instead of the front ports. It is possible that the front port isn't reading due to the board only having base drivers in play.

 

Boot device order:

USB

Optical

Disk

 

After your first time set up is complete change it to reverse that order.

 

Also when you go into bios to select the boot device does it show the name of your USB device and HDD or does it just say USB ....

 

I know it's detecting your HDD as the system is able to get to BIOS and if it was failing Post you wouldn't even get that far
