Error reading weapon data file for: weapon_ifm_steadycam

keep getting this error and eventually game crashes. cant play day of defeat for very long (maybe 30mins-hour) before game crashes. someone told me 1stMRB has a possible solution? any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I am no technical expert by any means, but the first step with any Steam game is to verify integrity of game files. This can be done by right clicking the game in your library, click properties and find this menu

ive verified the files and even reinstalled the game....not sure why it happens...

Good Morning Mudpug, I for one have had this same issue come up a few years ago. Sadly I was never able to find a solution. I changed configs, verified files, uninstalled/re-installed, you name it, I tried it and nothing worked for me. I ended up quitting DoD:s for about a month and one day decided to try playing again. Since then I haven’t had that error pop up once and my game hasn’t crashed any. I’m hoping one of us might have a solution to this problem so you can take care of it as soon as possible.
