Im stuck on getting Mass Effect 2 or Fallout 3

Now I have played plenty of Bioware games but never played the Mass Effect games. (1 or 2...clearly)

I have played all the Fallouts, just not 3...

So pretty much asking how are they, I know in Fallout 3 you can pretty much find mods and custom things out the ass just like with Oblivion. (I love warhammer 40k and they happen to have a mod of it.)

Then again I love the epic story and what not of all Bioware games.

So yea...which would you consider, hows Mass Effect 2 gameplay considered to Fallout 3?

(I MAY...MAY try and look around at the pirate bay or ISO hunt...then again I dont wanna get some crappy BT that has like half the crap cut out)

Steam just had a 50% off sale on Fallout 3 GOTY edition that I picked up, haven't been able to play it thoroughly yet though. Like you said, there is a plethora of mods.

Well theres a sale for mass effect 1 and 2 atm, how much of the story will I be missing if I just picked up ME2 and ignored ME1....still be able to play it and understand I guess?

(Nvm, ME 1 is 4.99 and ME2 is 23.99 so I might as well get both and enjoy the full story, heard you can transfer your ME1 character to ME2 so thats kinda neat.))

yeah you will be able to understand the story with ME2 for the most part. I think there was only one maybe two times I was a little confused. It gets explained later in the story though and you'll just go ohhhhhh. lol

i just tried the demo for ME2. It didnt necessarily wow me. The graphics are awsome and the story is interesting..but the combat is kinda meh to me. If your into rpgs and shooters like that then its definately your game. I myself is savin money for Red Dead Redemption!
