OK so from the trailer it looks like it has the game play of world of warcraft except it takes place in Warhammer 40k Universe, theres the Space Marines, Imperial Guard, the Forces of Chaos, Orks, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau, and Necrons.

So far the obvious playable affiliations are Imperial Guard, space marines, chaos and orks, but it looks pretty rad, I'd quit any MMO to play this.

From the trailer you can see that you can own and use Titans (Fuck yeah), tanks, Bikes, Ork Choppas, Battle Wagons, Drop Pods, Defilers, Jump Troops, Raptors, and Dreadnoughts.

It looks more like it's going to be third person shooter with RPG elements rather than WoW like, just go to around 40 seconds and you see a glimpse of a Space Marine firing a bolter with a reticule in the middle. It's a shame it won't be out for a few years, I recall them saying the earliest would be 2012 or something like that. I just hope they don't fuck up the game mechanics or scare off the player base like every other MMO shooter that's been out.

Oh they also tacked on the skill bar and health display after making the video, watch as it switches views from 3 different races with the same stuff at the bottom and at the top left.

I dont think this is an MMO tho. After reading about it on gamespot they said its an rpg. From the look of the videos thats all it looks like is a third person rpg where you can shoot people. I could be wrong maybe it is an MMO..but it sure as hell didnt look like one lol....or was i looking at a different game..o ya i was...called warhammer 40k space marine....so their making a regular rpg with singleplayer...and a huge mmo...wierd.

(about to show the extent of her nerdyness here) - When I was younger I played tabletop Warhammer. Table top games still bring a quality that online just can't.

I never got into online warhammer. Maybe one day seems I own a few but haven't played them :P

Warhammer Online blew chunks, it was fun at firs but really lacked anything to do in later levels. Unless you're talking about a 40K online game then it would be hard to get into. But I don't think that a online game that revolves around using a ruler to measure out your dude's movement then getting out a laser pointer to figure out LoS followed by playing lawyer with the rules to determine if Kharn killed Pedro would sell all to well. :P

I love playing the table top mini's game of 40k, I've got chaos myself, and yeah warhammer online sucked because it didn't have epic fucking lazers and power armor!

''Warhammer Online blew chunks'' < Reminds me of a really inappropriate story. - Ask O'Pray on steam about it, if you're lucky he will be in a sharing mood and not come kick my butt for bringing it up :P *runs*

I miss playing the table top Warhammer and W40k, wish I still had my armies.

That said, I don't know about this. I think maybe if they did it as a RTS game, that'd be real fun. Table top action with out all the time spent gathering army pieces and painting them(though that was most of the fun i think)

Actually the minimum is 1 but for optimal it takes 3 but the bigger the titan the more people and this doesn't include engineers. And the closest thing to a mech other than titans are sentinals. I own all of the books except some of the imperial guard ones, the table top, and all pc games except the tao one.

If this game lacks customization over armor color and such it will be pretty disappointing. Massive nerd bonus points if I can switch my Imperial Guardsman's looks out with a Elysian droptroop or one of them deathworld jungle fighters, instead of default Cadian or something boring.

Also weren't most Titan pilots slaved into their Titans? I could have sworn that there was a comic book that detailed the life of a Titan and it had the same crewmen over the course like a few thousand years.

And if they have chaos I hope we can choose our god to follow instead of getting shoehorned into a child friendly god like that pussy Tzeentch.

I want to play as a fucking noise marine and spread the word of rock to the loyalists.
