So in the last year, I have owned 5 headsets.

The first, a Fatal1ty gaming headset. Loved it, unfortunately my dog also loved it and ate half of the cord.

The second, I stepped on breaking the earpieces in twain. (still works, but duct tape sticks to hair apparently)

The third, I set on the ground and as I walked past my pc I tripped on the cord, snapping it in two pieces.

The fourth, I set on the ground and as I walked past my pc I tripped on the cord and ripped the line out of the usb jack.

The last one, this morning I set it on the ground and as I walked past my pc, well... you get the idea.

I have a bad habit of doing that. Soooo, I opted for these babies: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...99&Tpk=g930

No Wires!!! No cord to trip on!!! No cord for my dog to chew!! Plus they are 7.1 surround, which should be awesome for newer games that will utilize that more.

Hopefully these will last more than a month.

That's a great idea.

Here's the problem:

I put them on the ground because I'm lazy.

Being lazy makes me like your idea about a hook, but lack the motivation to go find a hook or hook like apparatus to attach somewhere on my desk.

I've already ordered the wireless headset, should be here Tuesday. Maybe between now and then I can find something to hang them on. I probably won't even look though.

Again, I'm lazy.

Don't feel to bad Ford

I went through 3 80+ dollar headsets in the course of 2 months. I'm on number 4. I had a Fatality one. Two Plantronics. and I'm on my Razer Carcharias now. Which I love. Next headset will probably be a Turtle Beach one though, fucking sick ass headset lol.

Funny story, ive tripped and broke all three

Of my headsets over the course of 6 months. They were all from walmart so I maybe spent 100$ combined. The first one was a piece of crap. Second was actually nice but I tripped over it and the cord was ripped out of the front of the tower. And the third is a piece of crap. But the center piece in the middle broke

In half, idk how, so I taped it up like a pro. And I've been using it for about 3 months and other than it splitting in half. It's been a good head set.

I also have turtle beach X11's they have many long cords

Though. So be careful where you step. It's a nice piece of equipment. I only really use it for xbox and realism matches.

I too share your gift of laziness. I just hammered a fucking #3 nail into the wall and called it good. Its a 5.5" nail that I put 3" into the wall. If you need it pretty, I have paint and a bedazzler.

Very nice new headset, but I have the feeling you will break it in some weird way and will have no real explanation for it, but if not than thats good. Hope it lasts

just make sure that if they have a recharging feature, that you use rechargeable batteries, I didn't and they started to smoke and the batteries started to kinda burst out the ends and leak black goo... :P

Got the new headset in this morning... gotta say, playing Dod:s in 7.1, yes there is a setting for that amazingly, is nothing short of awesome.

Hands down the best headset I have owned to date.

Although, vent, with 7.1 turned on is kind of freaky. Sounds like people are in the middle of my head talking to me. Had to turn it off for vent, otherwise, I'm very pleased with this set.

A hook requires 3 things all of which you probably have.

1) Drywall near your computer.

2) A steak knife.

3) Rage from spending $xx on headsets in the last year.

I'll let your imagination fill in the rest.
