Eli Manning has agreed to a new six-year, US$97-million contract extension with the New York Giants that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL with an average salary of roughly $15.3 million.

Damn, can I get some of that money. These sports players get paid way too much these days. What sport pays the most? I think it's baseball? Not sure. Anyways, my point is that they should give me some of this money.

Well to sort of answer your question:

According to Forbes 100 Highest Paid Athletes,

The top 10 has 2 golfers, 1 boxer, 1 soccer (futbol) player, 3 basketball players, and 3 racecar drivers.

Tiger woods is Number 1 with an annual earning of 110 million, more than the amount number 2 and 3 on the list make combined. That's not an actually salary per say, but Id say it's damn well better than what Eli Manning is earning.

The Top Ten in anual earnings including endorsements looks like this:

#1. Tiger Woods - 110 Million

#2. Kobe Bryant - 45 Million

#3. Micheal Jordan - 45 Million

#4. Kimi Raikkonen - 45 Million

#5. David Beckham - 42 Million

#6. LeBron James - 40 Million

#7. Phil Mickelson - 40 Million

#8. Manny Pacquiao - 40 Million

#9. Valentino Rossi - 35 Million

#10. Dale Earnhardt Jr. - 34 Million
