Hey. So me and benson were messing around with my configs and what not... and i put that config that dillon posted i believe. (all because i wanted to turn up my brightness in game cause its really dark and wont go up no more)

After I did this, the brightness didnt change. All i really noticed was my FPS seemed to double. However, my game became choppy. (everything from character movement to sound)

So I didn't like this too much so i completely removed and deleted the config from my steam folder and what not. However, everything seems to be back to normal except for the sound. The sound seems to still be choppy and shitt and I am hating it. Makes me wanna rage quit bruh.

So yes if anyone could tell me and help me with this stupid sound lag/choppiness problem, I would make you my brah. Nah mean brah?

P.S. How do i turn up my brightness somemore even though it wont go up?

P.S.S. I know im not asian when it comes to computers and technical shit bruahhh!

My best suggestion would be to reinstall the game and start fresh. It will probably be a bitch to re-add any skins you had but it would probably be better than trying to find any corrupt files I remember Wells talking about when you said something yesterday. If someone has a more technical answer that may be slightly easier than this please feel free to negate me. I'm just one for simple fixes and this is probably the simplest.

Okay... So I believe i have fixed the sound issue. A command, "dsp_enhance_stereo" was set at 0 and I think changing it to 1 fixed the issue with my sound.

Now that that issue's out of the way, onto my second issue. I cannot play Colmar, Jagd, and Kalt when my dxlevel is set at 81. So I changed it to 90 which allowed me to play on all the server maps. However, by doing this, I noticed that the game got darker and what not. Is there a way to allow me to play the server maps while keeping my dxlevel at 81? Or do I have to keep it at 90 to play. And if so, how can I adjust brightness so I can totally shoot people in dark ass windows from the other side of the map.

I know im not medical staff, but you have to keep it at 90, my computer can run it at 85 you might be able to do that as well, idk.

I would even recommend going to 95. Then check what your gamm correction is, and make sure you have it as light as possible.

im running it at 90

but when i go to console, and type it gamma, its an invalid command for some reason.

i dont know if thats supposed to happen but it will not allow me to adjust gamma through the console or through configs.
