Hey im going to take my Meps in a few days,

any advice?

DO NOT drink coffee or any energy drinks, it will raise your blood pressure aswell as your heart rate, those are the 2 things they will check first. and if you have a heartrate of 100 beats per a min and up you'll get DQ'd.

DO NOT suddenly remember being sick, breaking any bones, dental work or anything that is not already listed in the paperwork you filled out with your recruiter. If you do, your MEPS visit will end there and you will be sent home to get the proper paper work and waivers if need be.

say "yes sir, no sir or yes ma'am, no ma'am" to the people, military personel and ESPECIALY the Doctors, seeing how they will be the ones that will give you the Go or No Go.

You and about 12 other people will be in a room dressed down to your underwear where you will be asked to perform things such as the "Duck Walk", stretches (to make sure all your joints work properly) and things that may hurt or be uncomfortable such as walking on your Knees. my advise is if they ask you if you feel any pain or discumfort, say no.

I would go there with a list of jobs you'd like or wouldnt mind doing, in order from most disired to least. that way if they dont have the job you REALY want, you might be eligable for one you'd still be O.K. with. remember, after 2 years you may have the option to Re-class into something more desirable.

Don't scream when you hear the rubber gloves. jk, my biggest piece of advice, lots of rest the night prior, because you have a loooooong day ahead of you. Don't beat off the night prior, no joke on this one, it will mess with your piss test. Long boxers goes a ways too, I personally made the mistake of wearing boxers too short for the duck walk, in turn forever burning a limp pink bald avenger into the memories of those around me

P.s. Most armed forces recruiters will lie to you about what MOS/Jobs are available in order to fill in numbers needed elsewhere. Keep in mind your just a number to them, so make your stand if you have a particular job in mind (Excluding trying to go special forces without going through indoc's. Damn CoD kiddies ) More times then not, that job will miraculously become available the next day. Recruiters need to maintain numbers in order to get promotions and to keep living the skate recruiting life. Keep the ball in your court and deal the cards. And never go open contract.

Well as for my MOS i have it locked in for 9 days. 25b, as per the paper i saw so hope i get that.

But im doing EVERYthing in one day. Meps and the Asvab and enlistment so dam lol

in that case, you may have to stay overnight at a hotel. i did it all in one go and they had me take the ASVAB and TAPAS the first day, stay ovenight and the physical the next.

Asvab is cake, don't sweat that. I skipped the mathematics portion and mechanics and I still had a high enough score to get any job in the USMC and I ain't the sharpest tool in that box lol. You most likely will stay in the "hotel". It's usually nothing more then a semi furnished barracks thats always clean if it's anything like the one in Westover Joint Air Reserve base when I went.

Also, get ready for a "Turn your head and cough" and a "Turn around, bend forward and spread your cheeks", don't be surprised by these facts.
