I can't believe the stupidity of people sometimes. Like this gem I just read:

Regarding the 6.5 Magnitude earthquake in southern Mexico

As we extract more oil and mineral and whatever else from earth what do you think happens???? Obviously, that makes the earth unstable. Any thoughts??? I have been wondering about that. I know that core of the earth is really hot. Wouldn't oil play a vital role in maintaining the stability of the earth's core????

Oh, and I shouldn't leave this out. CBC, where I found this article, is the only news source reporting this earthquake.

I've actually been going through a course for rigging and becoming a roughneck (Oil Rigs). Deepest oil well bore they ever drilled was about 35,000 feet true vertical by the Deepwater Horizon (I.e. the BP rig that sank). Btw anyone who blamed BP for that incident is a moron, they we're the operating company who owned the well, the people at fault we're the contracting company that drilled it, Transocean. The outer core of the earth is approx 7.200,000 feet below the to pf the crust, any dipshit that thinks rigging is detrimental to the stability of the earth needs to be watered twice a week.
