Vent Sound problems

Ever since the patch I have been having problems with my vent sound when I transmit in game. If I talk in game my vent entire vent sound drops to about 1/4 normal so I can't hear anything while I am playing. I know a few others have been having this problem but not everyone. Does anyone have an idea how I may fix this?

Pangilian found a fix for this if you are running Windows 7.

Right click on speaker icons, click sounds, click communications tab, click do nothing.

I don't know how it gets changed but as of right now it is working.

From my understanding, it's probably related to VoIP stuff. Windows will reduce the sounds of various things (system sounds, Vent, music players, etc...) it prioritizes what's on top (so, playing DoD? that's probably on top of what the system sees in terms of program/sounds that's being run), and lowers the volume on various things.

I've managed to find this after an hour or so search in some site I completely forgot. Now, you can adjust the volumes with Win7's mixer, I set vent on a higher volume level than DoD, which can be hectic at times, so adjust as needed. This requires you to alt-tab, and I understand some people have problems doing that and whatnot, so yeah...
