Nick, I will restate my argument again. In Communism the state will own all the Capital. That is a key point Marx makes in his Communist Manifesto. Marx never said anything about not being able to own private property, that was added later. China has allow PRIVATE (as in non-state) that owns Capital. China cannot be communist due to this. They have a hybrid system of Capitalism and Communism. Now if you look at the definition of Communism. Communal Ownership: NO No Private Property: NO Classless society: NO Still aiming for the above: NO Looking at these two difinitions. Plus my privious sources. I don't care if your socialist. Its cool with me. Higher education is paid for my the gov. which is a socialist thing. Same with minimum wage. The reason we have the monetary system is.... wait for it.... wait for it... is because it WORKS. and it's been working since at least 1750 BC. Back before money they had to barter. Which is ineffective because it depends on what the buyer and seller wants, and leads to a discrepancy in the cost. With money, you know EXACTLY how much something will cost you. And if you look at it from a new perspective, your idea just replaced paper money, with "work owed." This would allow someone who say owns a lot of land to sell it in exchange for labor. So instead of x dollars for a house its now x labor owed for a house. Same system, different name. So lamey, if your car works would you trade it in for a horse? If your PC runs, are you going to trade it in for a slide rule? Your idea was taking a concept that worked for THOUSANDS of years, and replacing it with something that is highly inefficient. Sure it could be better, but we need to reform it, fix it, not throw it out. And why is that when leftist people get in a debate and people say, "no that's a dumb idea" then proceed to give good reasons, you then go and insult the people with, "well i guess man is too dumb to change rapidly." or "only idiots fail to see how right I am" It is almost like you assume an elitist view while at the same time the left says they are the champion of the people and calls the right the elitist...

Sure in the late medieval ages you had money. But at first it was a lord with some land. Land = Power. That's why the Middle class had such a hard time, didn't matter if you had limitless money, if you didn't own land you didn't have power. So man you can take your visionary out look on life and live with it. or you can take off your blindfold and relies people don't do something for nothing. I'm in college [ spending money on an education] to be a teacher, I'm going through 4-8 years to insure I have a good paying job. I decided that was better than working at McDonald's all my life. But under your system I would get rewarded the same as a teacher or as a McDonald's employee. Now lets see which one would be easier. Work a repetitive job where you can zone out and goof off all day, or goto 4 years of college to teach everyday. As with 99.999% of people I would choose the easier route. For there is no incentive to go past the unskilled laborer. So if you rewarded the higher skills with larger rewards, guess what... same system different name. That is why this idea would never work. Need an example. Here it is. Take a class room of students. Tell them that all students’ test scores would pooled and divided equally. Essentially once the kids realized that the outcome for all students was going to be the same, the effort uniformly stopped. The A students said why bother and the f students said why worry. There you go buddy. So man go take your socialists propaganda to someone dumb enough to not understand it.

Hey go dogs all you want man, i don't dislike them, i just don't like em as much as cats. And come on man, the burglar argument is invalid, dogs get one good kick too and their gone too, unless they are trained, which if they are all the burglar needs to know is to tell them down or no. I have experience in this for my mom trains German Sheppards for the police. For dogs it the intimidation factor, they are more scary than a cat. But for most dogs you just got to have a kind voice and their your best friend. And dogs are only man's best friend in the west. The Chinese eat dogs... That is what I was saying man. We see murder everyday and no one starts up with the "I'd cut a hole in his stomach, shove grain inside it, sow it up and toss him in a rat infested hole" stuff. But you see anyone hurt an animal, its like the worst thing ever. It makes me mad that people have no priorities. I'm perfectly cool with a fine for that woman. Now if it was little babies she killed than yeah I would be saying things like you guys.

Now I'm not pissed she killed the dogs, sometimes you have to do it, what pissed me off is how. I grew up in a rural area and had to kill my fair share of animals. All humanely. Now I refuse to kill unless its out of necessity. It pisses me off when people hunt for sport. While I abhor the abuse of animals you people are taking this too far. "Chained to a wall cover in pig guts and ect..." I rarely see any of these comments for a murder. It seems people put more value on a dog then on human. Or that we have become so jaded that murders don't phase us...

You fail to take in that there was a system similar to this in the Medieval ages... you know the one where people lived in Utopia and had plenty to eat were vassals to kings. There was no money in this system. There were people who had land, and could build houses. So they said to some peasants, hey work on my land and I'll build you houses and provide protection. Also you don't work your out on your ass. So your other people's idea is full of FAIL. Now I can see your idea "take away money you take away greed" well man if they didn't have money, land becomes the new thing to own, you know for the houses people are going to work for, or the land for the farmers. This was tried in the Medieval Ages and look how well it turned out. The medieval ages were renown for there human rights If you can't learn from history's mistakes your failed to repeat them. You idea would lead to feudal America. Not some Utopia.
