  1. hey ascensio, my 'advice' as someone who is also joining up as a regular soldier in the UK (i.e. not an officer) is that whatever you decide to do, give it everything you have. i'm pretty sure that your choice will be what you want to do, so give it your all and 'be the best'. choose something you will enjoy (obviously) but try to stand out as an exemplary guy, because army pay at entry level sucks, and if you want long-term, you will want to be noticed
  2. those roof tiles are like fucking sandpaper
  3. one of the great advantages of knowing how to do things, is that you can knowingly refrain from doing them
  4. yeah, kinda want to turn the creep factor up with this song, it's just waiting for it
  5. So, having recently picked up the guitar i decide i'd start learning more things on more things. I already know a few songs but i decided i wanted to learn something a bit stupid that i can play as a joke. so i found this: I may eventually post videos of wot i gone and done, but for now
  6. is this like made up of nazi/neo-nazi groups logos? why would anyone do that
  7. Congrats Magoo! You really earned it this year!
  8. this is yet another of those completely ridiculous 'theories' that go unchallenged purely because they are so cloud cuckoo land that someone thinks this, and nobody can say 'no, that's completely fucktarded' because they're too busy laughing
  9. little, do you ever wonder why nobody hangs around you?
  10. it took me a whole second of 'holy shit, what happened?" before i realised it was in the mess hall
  11. the rule when i played with my friends was that anyone who wanted to play oddjob would have to agree to be punched everytime they get a kill. i don't think oddjob was a very popular character......
  12. i'm sure there's a word for this exact situation. you know, where you kinda feel you should be sorry for the guy but you can't bring yourself to do so because it was totally the expected outcome and he was an idiot for trying it in the first place?
  13. i got really pissed off at that match, wales didn't play great at all. but then there was that tackle on halfpenny that meant he dropped on his shoulder from too high and the guy who was at him didn't even get a 'yo, be careful'
  14. thief 2 is like the crowning glory of the series so far though. to get the dark project past the publishers they had to add some stuff that kinda annoys you (fucking zombies, why?) but the metal age (the second one) has a lot less of that and more of the sneaky shit. they're both still stellar games though. except thief: deadly shadows. we don't really talk about that one (it's not that bad, but it's like going from fine port to a rough and ready moonshine brewed in a corpse)
  15. i did the shitty thing of pre-ordering it so it better be the single best thief game of all time. but, they got a new voice-actor which saddens me very much
  16. staged. almost definitely. he's all like 'i can't believe i'm in this bachelorette limo with reggie yates, this is such a surprise'. at best, he is some random guy they found in a bar but they told him what was going on like just after ('so we're gonna dress you up and take you to a party and shit, for an advert') and he just happens to know the names of the celebrities involved at worst, he's an actor that they're trying to pass off as some unsuspecting fool that recognises and can name all those peoples that he met that night, which is unlikely for just some random guy at a bar.
  17. seems more like a process issue. the hospital kept her on life support because they interpreted local laws as saying that's what they had to do in this situation. the court just said 'well, she's dead. so it really isn't the thing to do'. On the subject of the foetus, it being described as 'distinctly abnormal' with 6 months left to go before an actual birth seems a pretty good indicator that it would likely not be very well off either, or possibly expire beforehand. it was also agreed by all parties that the woman was dead medically and under texas law, so keeping her on 'life-support' is technically not possible if she's legally dead. basically, hospital kept her on life-support for the sake of the baby while agreeing that she was dead, the court says that because she is dead, there is no life to sustain and that they can legally end the life-support without going against the law. it's just sad really, the husband has had to deal with the death of his wife in one of the harshest ways possible (finding her unconscious at home, while she's pregnant) and has not been able to hold a proper funeral for two months because the hospital is keeping her alive despite the wishes of the deceased and her close family
  18. Honorary Uncle award? On another note, i actually tried to wipe the spit off of my face at the end of that video.
  19. Obviously not a member of the photography club.
  20. Oh god, i feel so sorry for tetris right now
  21. I think it may just be a trend where people who are able and willing to reproduce usually do...
