  1. I don't even care to post an unban request at this point. What I will say is it's clear many of you know nothing about what you're talking about with regard to the rocket launcher or even how this game works. A little history lesson. I've played DoD/DoD:S for nearly two decades, longer than 99% of you, and I primarily have used the rocket launcher, so of course I'm going to know how to use it. You see all these people rocket jumping? Guess who invented that????? ... I see so many copy cats these days, and I also see people just sit back and shoot down lanes or abuse the secondary weapons, and it's just maddening. You're so used to seeing people not have any idea how to wield the rocket that you think it's a slow weapon. The rocket is nothing but slow. So you can understand how foolish you are, I'll give you a lesson on the rocket launcher. First, in the Advanced settings under the Multiplayer options, there is clearly an option that says "Deployed weapons will redeploy after firing a deployed shot." What does this mean? This means that if you fire a rocket, keep it shouldered, and then reload, it will re-shoulder automatically. The only catch is that there is a delay between when you fire and when you can reload if you decide to keep it shouldered before reloading. The delay is shorter on the Bazooka than the Panzer, which is why the Panzer is trash. In vanilla DoD, there was no delay, and you should have seen me then ... in fact I may have been banned from the 1st back then, too, and the 6th, and just about everywhere else. It's always amusing. Most of you unshoulder after you fire, so you never give yourself the chance for auto re-shouldering. Why do I elect most of the time to stay shouldered despite facing gunfire? Because I enjoy rocket chaining, where you fire, wait out the reload delay, reload, then fire immediately upon re-shouldering. If I really cared about my K:D, I would just unshoulder and duck gunfire after shooting more often, but that's not really fun for me. During the delay, I'm vulnerable, but once you enter the reloading action, YOU CAN RUN AROUND FREELY AND JUMP AND DO LOTS OF CRAZY SHIT THAT MAKES PEOPLE GO THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE. This is when you see me running around with the rocket launcher and seemingly insta-fire. I am running while I am reloading, and I've done this for almost 20 freaking years that the timing is second nature to me. Oh, that's also the reason why rocket jumping is useful. People think it makes you shoot faster. It's negligible. The reason why rocket jumping is effective is because it allows you to disengage the limited range of motion you would have otherwise had when standing on the ground with the rocket shouldered. Being in mid air gives you the ability to freely aim around, so you can do a 360 and lay down a rocket. Also, you can shoulder the rocket, climb a ladder, and fire as soon as you get off the ladder. None of this is exploiting. None of this is outside the confines of the game. None of this is unusual. Just because you don't understand how something works doesn't mean it's an exploit or a hack. Oh, also, I can rocket snipe you from across the map because the rocket arch is that ingrained in my mind. That's how long I've been playing. So, please stop talking like you think you understand this weapon or even this game. Such a great game that's unfortunately near the end of its lifespan that also is sadly kept afloat by a server with questionable policing. It's flattering that you think I hack, because I don't even play half as well as I did 10-15 years ago, and I would probably play better if you didn't have a mod that severely nerfed rocket damage. Well, that's my take. You can literally use the bazooka/panzer in the ways that I've outlined above. It's not hard. I only ask that once you achieve some of these skills and maneuvers that you also ban yourself for "hacking" or something of the sorts. Like I would play a nearly two-decade old game to hack a weapon to go 1:1 (or worse because honestly I just play to dick around these days and go for trick shots). The lack of common sense here is atrocious. X-Spark
