Hey, I wanted to find out if anyone here plays WHFB or WH40K. If so list your army and what not. And if you frequent DakkaDakka or not.

My army is the Imperial Guard. I have 3000pts but prefer to play at 1850-2000pts. Lots of infantry, some chimeras for mechvets. a Vendetta and a hellhound. 2 Leman russes that i can have as a regular one or a exterminator. And 1 leman russ demolisher. A manticore. My main tactic is infantry w/ hwts holding place in cover, while my mechvets go forward with my armor. Works pretty well.

The best moment was causing a driagowing to run off the table with a pbs. Love reducing your leadership to 2. My favorite opponent is Space Marines, they die so easily, and my least favorite opponent is Eldar, the fuckers fly all over the place aways getting a 4+cover.

I'm thinking of starting either an Empire or Brettonia army for fantasy.

Cool, games like that you play out of a device arent really my thing though.

you dont play out of a device. You buy, assemble and paint them, then play on a 6x4 table with terran and shit. Its basically grown up army men, only with rules.

Just finished a 10 man squad of guardsmen, finishing my mechanized infantry. Only took me like well six hours. Started at midnight and its six am now. So over all after stripping all my minis (i was horrible when i first painted them) I still have about another 50 guardsmen and 5 heavy weapon teams to paint. Should go by faster since i'm only doing a simple khaki fatigues with catachan green armor and boots. Then i'm going to work on my leman russes, add some weathering to them.

I primed with the choas black primer.

Then base coated it with catachen green.

On the fatigues i then drybrushed a 50-50 mix of camo and catachan green.

The flak armor i painted dark angles green. The boots are black.

Dark angels green on the lasguns. With any metal bits boltgun metal.

After the fatigues are dry i painted on splotches of Dark Flesh.

The belt and any equipment pouches are snakebite leather. Belt buckle is boltgun metal.

the hands where also painted black to give them a gloved look. The faces are painted either tallern flesh with ogyren wash (a Caucasian look.) Tallern with a elven flesh highlight (pale white) A tallern with a devlin mud wash, (arab) or back then dark flesh ( african america.) To give them a diverse look.

Wash the armor and fatigues with devlen mud. The lasgun with badab black wash.

To finish it i paint all imperial symbols bright mitril silver.
